Cathay Pacific has announced plans to launch a new direct service between Hong Kong and Almaty, Kazakhstan, in the first quarter of 2027. The service will operate three times per week using the Airbus A330-300 widebody aircraft, providing a vital link between the Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) and Almaty International Airport (ALA).

According to Cathay Pacific, the carrier and its subsidiary, HK Express, currently operate nearly 600 return flights weekly to 33 destinations within the BRI network.
