The introduction of direct inter-island flights represents a shift away from traditional hub-and-spoke models that route all regional traffic through Nassau. For South Bimini hospitality and tourism operators, these new air links will increase passenger volumes, reducing reliance on the Fort Lauderdale ferry and driving higher occupancy rates for local resorts. Conversely, Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) may experience a minor decrease in transit passenger traffic as more travelers opt for direct domestic and international point-to-point routings.
